Someone please give Ariana Grande a good script, a great director and a giant hoagie! This film is a complete and utter mess. I keep trying to put aside my feelings on making the Tin Man and Cowardly Lion leaders of a bloodthirsty riot - but what the hell?!?!?
What is this movie about? Who are the heroes and villains? What is it trying to say? Why is every scene backlit and desaturated?
I strongly believe if Ariana Grande wasn’t in this film it would’ve been a massive failure. As it stands I’m genuinely annoyed at the “liberties” this takes with the original and just how sloppy and ugly they made this variation.
