They would never remake this again. Like his idol, Jerry Lewis, Eddie Murphy made incredible technical leaps in the service of madcap comedy. I can’t think of anyone today who has the same sort of ingenious sense of humor married with commercial sensibilities.
Especially when this film has the best fart jokes this side of Blazing Saddles.
