
Never have I related more to Burt Lancaster! Trying to keep one’s dignity in a world that is quickly changing is no easy task. Delon and Cardinale get all the great swanning scenes - but the Prince’s questioning of the new world order - is really more about his place in any world order.
The Leopard is long and indulgent. But the sumptuous party scene that concludes the film is worth the wait (and one 1/2 star)
