The Ghost of Yotsuya, 1959 - ★★★★½

The last 30 minutes of this are absolutely insane.

Creepy, atmospheric, and filled with body horror - you can see how this scared the pants off a generation of Japanese.

Scary, mostly because the fears are so based on real emotions and relationships.

Jealousy and avarice and evil….
