Proto Toy Story that has a lot of the trademark Pixar story beats and anxieties - which makes sense since many of the creators went on to work on Toy Story.
The animation is fairly strong for the pre-Mermaid era, and there are some genuine moments of surreal and even horror? It even has the A113 Easter egg. But it never really elevates over its straight to VHS origins.
All that came later with Woody and Buzz and the gang.
Wow, I had no idea this went straight to VHS. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid.
