Noir meets goth. Siodmak’s use of light and shadow never disappoints, and his formal eye is as strong as ever. But the script is a bit all over the place, and it works more as a detective story than a spooky film.
But all the Lon Cheney/Dracula stuff hits perfectly. Strictly for Siodmak/Dracula completists.
