Fascinating time travel/sci-fi film made in Hungary during the Nazi occupation. Reminiscent of Somewhere in Time, with proto-Visconti historic costume scenes.
Art during authoritarian times is muted in many places - but when you get a piece that has regime criticism snuck in, it can really sing.
This flagged a bit in the middle, but a very watchable historical document.
