Updike’s Rabbit Angstrom has nothing on Corneau’s Franck Poupart, but I think they might’ve been friends. A truly deranged take on the degradation of a salesman. Grimey like a faded photograph in an attic.
If the pacing is a bit much at first, the last 30 mins go so hard you forget all about it. Truly great gonzo noir filmmaking that lets you feel the madness.
C'est magnifique!
