Excellent cinematography, an inspired set piece at the Bingley Ball and memorable scene chewing from all the principals -- what more do you want in a feature film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice?
Seeing this on the big screen probably took this from 3.5 to 4 stars because the film really plays so beautifully scaled up. There's nothing like watching impossibly attractive people fall in love on a giant screen.
Worth catching the repertory performances this week if you can.
