A very difficult watch, but an excellent film. The last five minutes are among the most disturbed imagery I’ve seen in some time. It’s a tour de force by Diane Keaton - who (thankfully?) never went this dark again.
A terrifying vision of a society that has devalued love completely. A solid companion to Saturday Night Fever - which has similarly dark undertones.
Although I think the ending guarantees I’ll be returning to this film infrequently- if at all.
