War movie in the style of early MCU. This whole film screams Obama-era optimism and fascination with technology and American military power and technical superiority.
Still I love this IP, and while I do not love the removal of the Baronesses’s agency, I generally enjoy the renditions of these characters in this film. It could be a hell of a lot worse - as we’ve seen in latter day Marvel, Star Wars and basically all sorts of other franchises.
The film also gets tons of bonus points for recreating the opening set piece of Team America World Police.
