I believe in ghosts too, Alexander. Fanny and Alexander might be the greatest film of all time because it portrays such a specific time and place and culture — but experiences and emotions that are deeply universal.
Ingmar Bergman is a master at capturing the complexities of the human experience - both material and supernatural.
There is so much more than a cold, material world. The universality of our experiences are testament to that fundamental truth.
Amazing. I wish I could give this film 10 stars.
