“50 Days of Colette” amirite?

Truffaut basically invents the manic pixie dream girl (early 60’s French edition) in Colette.

“She loves classical music and books and films and she’s drop dead gorgeous and her family loooooooves me.” - Antoine (basically)

Give Antoine credit for putting it all out there. But against Chad errr Albert, he never had a chance to make it out of the friend zone.

Is this a movie about love? Not at all. But it gets youthful infatuation, flirtation, power moves and anxious expectations perfectly.
