Good but not great early Bergman. A neat little degraded melodrama about (checks notes) a ship salvaging family, where Dad brings his mistress on their house boat.
A lot of good emoting in this one - and Bergman’s faces never disappoint - but I also fell asleep during the last five minutes - so it’s not the most compelling.
Still a good example of early films that turned into so much more.
